Jamie Glisson is a Tulsa transplant from South Texas. Professionally, she is a photojournalist, an award-winning photographer, and NPR correspondent for Focus: Black Oklahoma.   Personally , Jamie is a wife, mother, community activist, animal lover, karaoke connoisseur, tourist, and audiobook junkie.

Growing up in a military family afforded Jamie the privilege of living and traveling all around the world - from Hawaii to Spain to currently residing in Tulsa.

In 2005 Jamie and her business partner, Rachel Walker, launched Girls with Pearls Photography. Together, they focused on weddings and events. While Rachel and Jamie still take on the occasional wedding, they have both found passions serving their communities.
